BIXTEP: Notes in the Shell
BIXTEP 0.1 main menuBIXTEP is a tool for organizing textual information in the Bash shell.

BIXTEP version 0.1 features the core functionality and is fully usable.
- three item types: notes, excerpts, sources
- input text using your favorite editor
- organize information through keywords

- export as plain text file

- both command line and textual user interface
Quick Start
- Download the latest version of BIXTEP and untar the file.
- You also have to install XMLStarlet, preferably from your distro's package manager.
- Open a terminal, go to the untarred BIXTEP directory and enter
sh bixtep.sh -f notes.xml(or if you are using Ubuntu/bin/bash/ bixtep.sh -f notes.xml)
