Versioning

The version number consists of two to three levels and ”-dev” appended for development versions. The following scheme applies: major.minor.release-dev

major: generation number
minor: version number
release: release number of version, for the first release 0 is omitted
-dev: this is removed once a version is released as stable

Examples:

development version: 0.2-dev
stable release versions: 0.1, 0.1.1, 0.2

New stable releases replace old stable releases.

“Target Version” and “Fixed in Version” should always be release versions, never development versions
“Product Version” of a bug or task can be a release version or a development version
